Wind is Natural Energy.
Put another way, wind is a Natural Fuel which passes through a mechanical turbine to produce real, on-grid electrical power free of harmful emissions. And because wind is renewable by nature, it does not deplete our declining resources.
What could be better?
That is why harvesting electricity from wind is encouraged worldwide by leading environmental organizations, including Greenpeace and the David Suzuki Foundation. Environmental leaders see wind as a key solution to help reverse greenhouse gas emissions and nuclear waste.
Natural Wind Energy is clean energy. When replacing other methods of power generation, 1 wind turbine can displace more than 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually. More wind power means less greenhouse gas emissions.
Other environmental benefits of wind include reduced development impacts. The physical footprints occupied by wind turbines are small, averaging less than 10 hectares for every 100 MW developed. Wind turbines take their fuel from the passing air - and do not require the support of pipelines, open pit mines, or extensive water impounding.
North American power utilities are embracing wind energy as a partial solution to greenhouse emissions, unstable gas pricing, nuclear waste problems and lack of new hydro opportunities. Wind energy will help our nation meet our Kyoto commitments while making a sustainable future for our children.
Earth First Energy is a Canadian company founded to locate, harvest and deliver clean and renewable wind generated electricity to consumers and industries in British Columbia and other grid enabled regions.
